The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that he could depress the horn pad until it reached the frame of the steering wheel however, the horn would not sound. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where they advised him that the horn and the switches on the horn pad failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired for the horn and the switches. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000. The current mileage was approximately 80,000. The VIN was unavailable....updated 05/08/13 the consumer stated the horn required excessive force in order to work. The vehicle was repaired but continued to fail. Updated 05/20/2013

The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that the horn was faulty and does not work properly in his vehicle. He must press the horn with much force in order for it to sound.
