I've been to the shop several times with this car since I got it. I feel they sold me a lemon. It cost half my disability a month to pay for it and it has needed all this work when I got it.
First, I had a problem with starting it and the clock and electrical stuff went haywire. Took it to the dealer that sold it to me and they charged me $200.00 for a key because there was a dead cell.They couldn't give me a key with remote settings so I had one key to lock and unlock it and one to start it. Then it wouldn't start and I took it to someone who could check the battery and alternator. He used the wrong key after telling me I needed a new battery, and all the electrical stuff went haywire again. I took it back to the dealer who then finally provided me with a new key, the right one. After a couple of days I had to buy a new battery any way. I have to have the oil changed every three months because the oil change light keeps coming on. The transmission always feels like it's jumping and pulling. Then I had the recall part installed, supposedly, and it's doing the same thing. Light stays on 90% of the time and I worry that the air bag won't work if anything happens.
Someone stopped me and said I was dragging something and it turned out to be the long metal tube that you pour the transmission fluid in thru. They won't order it unless I pay for it first. So far nothing is covered under my warranty. A month or so after that I had to have 4 tires. I"ve only had this car 1 yr yesterday and most of these things happened in the first few months. I can't afford new tires so I got used ones.The whole brake pads and rotors had to be replaced and getting ready to be done again. I'm 58 yrs. old and stuck with this car because no one will trade it for something cheaper. No one wants to refinance it. I recently hit a deer and there is very minor damage. Tell me what I can do. No one should have this much trouble with a newer model car like this. It had 57,000 miles when I got it.
