The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that the hatch would not open even after the vehicle was unlocked. During the failure, the key was not able to be used to manually unlock the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
