The vehicle jerks on acceleration or loses power and the engine bucks and sputters while in motion. When rolling up windows while stationary the lights dim or engine sputters. This has happened off and on for the past two years. Only recently has is scared me because I was about to pull out into oncoming traffic. I was told by the dealership in chantilly, va there is nothing wrong with my engine. My passenger seatbelt gets stuck after being engaged. I had it replaced in fall 2012 at a dealership in woodbridge, va. I still have this issue and the new dealership will not replace it because it already was in 2012.

I do not feel safe driving my vehicle when the seat belts and air bags may not work in a collision! currently there are no parts to fix this issue and the recall was initiated in September of 2016--it has been almost a year! what about children riding in the vehicle?!

Rec'd notice from fca regarding recall, S61/nhta16V-688. After contacting fca, was informed that part required would be available by 1 June 2017. Have yet to hear from fca nor could a rep tell me when part would be available. Situation is such that the affected vehicle can not be sold or traded and is loosing value. Vehicle is parked and essentially unusable as it could produce more harm than good to myself or others if used and an incident occurs. Fca is not responding as they stated or as I requested nor have they provided reimbursement for diagnostic work done a local dealer as they initially promised.

I received a recall for a defective seat belt and air bag assembly in my 2012 Jeep Compass weeks ago. Because this vehicle is used in a fleet capacity, I pulled it from service immediately. I talked to Dodge and was told there is no remedy at this time. I then asked for a loaner vehicle until my vehicle was safe to drive and was told that Dodge doesn't have a rental program for recalls. I don't know how this manufacture doesn't have a plan to rectify an inconvenience that their customers have to go through regarding a problem that wasn't the customers fault to begin with. I'm very unhappy Dodge treats customers like this.

The vehicles may experience loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioner deployment capability in certain crash events due to a shorting condition resulting in a negative voltage transient that travels to the occupant restraint controller via the front impact sensor wires. There is currently no fix for the recall and the notice was sent out in October. It is unacceptable to take this long, I don't feel safe driving.

I purchased the Jeep febuary 28th 2013, from orr Honda texarkana tx. I was not informed the vehicle had any problems or recalls at that time. Within a couple days of having the vehicle I noticed the seat belts would spontaneously unlock and open. I also noticed that the vehicle seemed to have an acceleration problem it was sluggish and sounded like it was not changing gears. When I was stopped to make a turn and began to turn the car stalled on me in the middle of the intersection and quit, it started back and I was able to get out of harms way. Although I have had it at the dealership for the recalls and the problems I described over five times a total of 2 full months combined and was told the recall issues were resolved I picked it up on 3/15/14 from the dealership and drove it home, it died on me while driving, I was able to get it to the side of the street and sat there until it started again, I got it home got up to go to work the next morning and although all lights and alarms are working it only clicks when U try to start it. It will start up immediately with a boost. I have not and will not drive it due to the stalling and dying while driving. I am a pediatric home nurse and I Transport disabled children so not only is my life in danger with this vehicle so are the lives of the disabled children I care for during my job. During the months it was in and out of the shop I missed so many work days I had to give up my position and start a different position due to the lack of reliability of this vehicle. I do not want the vehicle anymore nor will I ever trust it again! at this point I am paying over $600 a month for payment and insurance on a vehicle that is not safe to drive. I have nearly a 19,000 debt on this vehicle and it has been nothing but a nightmare.
