car randomly shuts off

Honestly, my frustration with this vehicle and the purchase of it is un-measurable. I lose sleep thinking about this vehicle. I am dumbfounded and more sickened with each complaint I read of my same issue, knowing there is no solution, but to get rid of this worthless vehicle and further put my family in debt. I will never again buy a Jeep and will ensure my experience is shared with anyone who is willing to listen. That being said, these are my complaints.

I originally took my 2019 jeep compass in because the auto shut off/on light came on. I had only had this jeep for a short period of time and it had approx. 25000 miles on it. The Jeep dealership charged me $200 just to tell me that my auxiliary battery was most likely bad/dead, and it is not covered under warranty and would cost me $500 from them to replace. I did not have the $700 to instantly provide them and it would be a minor inconvenience for me to not have my auto shut off/on, so I held off and decided to save the money to get it replaced. They did not tell me anything else would go wrong, or what to expect if I did not replace the aux battery. A week later I had more and more issues. I was 500 miles away from my home, driving alone with my 6 yr old son and it started. All the dashboard lights started popping up, "Check engine" "Service transmission" the battery light indicator, "Pull over safely your vehicle will soon shut off" "Battery going into power saving mode, expect to lose power." ALL AT ONCE. This is while driving to Los Angeles, through the Grape Vine with mountains and long stretches of roads.

I made it safely to my location and started looking for local dealerships or mechanics. The next day, the car would not accelerate, when i moved it into gear it jerked, hard. I had to have it towed to a local mechanic. nI purchased the $500 auxiliary battery they said I needed and all the lights disappeared, for 1 whopping day, to get me home.

Months later, still dealing with all the lights, random vehicle shut downs, random emergency brake malfunctions. I am so lucky I have not been in any accident, but this vehicle is a death trap. The dealership does NOT know how to fix this issue. Its beyond their little error reader machines. And I can not afford for them to tell me they can't fix it, but still charge me to tell me that. I am financially STUCK with this $25,000 vehicle I am paying for, with no solution. SHAME on Jeep. All these similar stories, maybe it will take a death to recall something here, maybe it will be mine, I don't know, but I hope this reaches the right person to make it right.
