Rear axle bearings replaced twice now. Brake rotor warpage a direct result of caliper design. Replaced rotors with after market and still warped. Replaced calipers with after market and needed $115 repairs to rotors that had 8000 miles on them. Engine oil leak and odor from manifold gasket leak at front og engine. Door check roller on drivers door broke off completely. May not be a warranty repair. Will invoke lemon law if rear bearings fail another time. Chrysler built a real piece of garbage!!!

Jeep did recall and replace the 2 front rotors in the northeast due to rust/salt corrosion, however, at 55 mph my vehicle shook and bounced due to extremely rusted/corroded rear rotors that had to be replaced by a local repairshop. Jeep only recalled the front rotors. How could they ignore the rear rotors when they knew that the front rotors were defective?I kept the old, rusted rear rotors.

I had to have the brakes and rotors replaced before 12,000 miles, under warranty. The rotors flat spotted again at 16,635 miles, so the dealer suggested to have them turned, both front and rear @ $225.16. They also told me that this is a very common thing to have done. I had to return to the dealer to have new brakes and rotors for the front and rear again on 3/22/01 with only 24366 miles, which was a cost of $662.17 to me. They again said that this is a very common thing to have to do. I also called the customer service at Chrysler and the district rep. Would not give me any assistance for the cost of the repairs. So I requested that my complaint be filed with the regional customer relations mgr. Which was on 3/22/01 and I still have not received a reply. I recently read a report concerning chronic problem vehicles in which Chrysler had to buy back. Unless I am very stupid having to have my brakes and rotors replaced every 6,000 to 8,000 miles falls into the chronic problem list. I paid $30,000 for a vehicle which I thought would last me for at least 10 -15 years. Apparently they do not make vehicles to last that long any more. I have not been notified of a recall and when I talked with customer service at Chrysler I was told that there had not been a recall on my vehicle. I do not feel safe driving it any more. I espically will not allow any passengers. I am also afraid of having total brake failure and have a serious accident. I hope that I can get something done about this problem which I feel can have serious damages if I have total brake failure which I've been told can happen.

I have never had brake problems with any other vehicle. This problem started out with only 11000 miles and a clicking noise when brakes were engaged. The pads and rotors were replaced. Then again at around 18,000 miles the pads were woren, and rotors replaced again, I believe. I can not find the receipt for that visit. Then at 25,000 miles pad were again put on and rotors turned. At 28,000 rotors vibrate and new ones put on. Now at 33,000 miles they are again vibrating. There is definitely a defect in this mechanism and it needs to be addressed.

Brake rotors warped under normal useage, resulting in severe vibration when brakeing at or above 40 mph. Dealer turned rotors, problem reappeared at approximately 18,000 miles.rotors were turned again, problem reappeared at 21,00 miles, rotors were replaced. Problem reappeared at 29,000 miles, took to second dealer. Dealer would not perform repairs under warranty, turned rotors at my expense. Problem reappeared at 36,500. Contacted Chrysler customer relations twice, they refuse to do anything about it, and continue to refer me to the dealer. I am concerned for the safety of my family and I due to possibility this vibration could lead to loss of control and increased braking distances.
