What is going with the recall. Had an appointment to take mine Jeep in in Sept. When I got there they did not have the hitch to go on the bumper. I haven't heard from them. And I did not get my $100 gift card. I did take it in for the inspection and the letter I got said I would get it then.

We purchased a 2001 Grand Cherokee limited from a local dealership with 50,000 miles in may of 2005. No heat from both passenger or drivers side vents. Blend door hinges separated and inop. Recirculation door also inoperable vehicle had 53,500 miles at this time. Drivers seat heater failed at 65,000 miles. PCM failed at 75,000 miles and this was the only repair covered under warranty. The Jeep now has 81,000 miles and we have had vibration and pedal pulsation from the front brakes three times since we purchased the vehicle.

Air only blows one speed only at constant speed when accelerating and cuts off when braking. The air only blows hot air and the temp can not be changed. The air/heat started to not work correctly on the passenger side first then reached the drivers side. There is loud creaking noises coming from the dash when the unit is turned on or when the car is cut off. It can even be heard outside of the vehicle.

Blend air door in 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited has broken. Seems as though a re-call is inevitable considering the quantity of failures that have occurred for people who have spent a large amount of money fixing these problems.
