Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L I6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 134,500 miles

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L. Has had Check Engine light illuminated on gauge cluster since approx. 134,500 miles. The Jeep has 136,045 miles as of this posting. When the key sequence (On/Off/On/Off/On) to check for OBD-II fault codes is performed, odometer display reads' P0442' and 'P0456' as the codes. This is apparently an emissons problem. The Jeep did have the 'P0442' and 'P0456' codes when it was first purchased in May of 2014, along with a 'P0455' code. Some hoses were replaced when an evap. smoke test was completed to determine leaks from the hoses.
