Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 108,000 miles

Bought my 06 JGC Laredo about a month ago and after a few days of the purchase I started to feel the jerk sometimes when the car shifts especially when I am not on the gas and the car slowly gains enough speed to upshift. I've let two people driving it and they said it shouldn't be a huge problem and it might have something to do with the transmission oil. Still not sure if I need to bring it in in to any Jeep dealers for checking/repairing because first it probably takes them a day to check and it might cost a lot and second it is old enough to have issues like that so I might as well just wait till I buy a new car.

Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L

  • CVT transmission
  • 54,000 miles

surges on the highway, jerks whe letting off then on the gas

When driving in town and on the highway I can feel a surging like the transmission may be working to grip. It's not real bad but annoying as hell. In town it I let off the gas and then give it gas there is a delay and then a jump or jerk as it starts off. Dealer says both are normal with that transmission. I have never heard of anything like that. Can anyone tell me of they are right.
