problem #2

Grand Cherokee Limited V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 145,825 miles

It will not start and its acting very strange when trying to start. The lights on dash just jump around and it is making strange sounds under hood. I will be having it looked at, have an extended warranty, but they refused my last claim which cost me over $4000. for other issues, so I am not counting on them to cover this either!!

Wish me luck, I will update this when I know more.

My 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee wouldn't respond when I turned the key, so I had it towed to the dealer. They told me the starter had a "bad spot" and replaced the starter at a cost of $474. I had the identical problem with my 2006 Grand Cherokee at approximately the same mileage (53k).

I've since learned that this ignition problem is common with these cars, and Chrysler should step up and replace these faulty systems at no cost to owners.
