problem #1

Grand Cherokee 3.6L V6

The blind spot indicator lights on the mirror started to blink and beep randomly. Finally, it said it turned itself off but the mirror lights still stay lit.

Chrysler repair said it would cost $1700 for the left rear indicator module to be replaced, plus labor. I said no, but can they get the light to stop working, the answer again was no. I was about to buy another new top end Chrysler, just changed my mind. $1700 for a part is gouging or shows problems with Chrysler engineering.

It seems this is a common problem with a lot of other Chrysler vehicles with the same module - most failing just out of warranty. Those in warranty are often told it does not qualify.Top end cars is where auto companies make the most - so to gouge me just makes me go away. That is a lot of money they are not going to be making from me every 4 years for two top end cars. I don't care how good the rest of the car is, do something this stupid and I am gone.
