In October 2015 I had the fuel pump relay replaced as part of the RO9 Jeep recall. At the time of the repair, I had not experienced any issues with the car cranking but not turning over. Earlier this month (Aug 2019) the car failed to turn over, after waiting and trying again, it turned on...this problem steadily increased until last night, the car would crank but not turn over.

I've spoken to the dealership multiple times about this issue and of course, it's probably everything OTHER than what it is - I need the fuel pump reply replaced AGAIN. Further, while my car has low miles the replacement part I received in 2015 is no longer under warranty (2 years) and I most likely will need to come out of pocket to replace this part ($1500). Up until this point, I have had NO issues with my Jeep (I know, it's unusual).

Has anyone had an issue with the replacement parts going bad on this recall?

This is recall R09 fuel injection relay is causing an issue. The car is shutting off & taking time to start spinning but was not starting at times.. went to dealer, he wouldn't fix the recall issue as the recall is for the 2015 model year, and the car is a 2013. Car shut off on me in the middle off the road, the warranty just ran out and they are not fixing it.

They are charging way too much to fix it - it should be free as it is a manufacturing defect..Moreover when I wanted to cancel after realizing the dealer is ripping me off... u can't cancel the service after 4 hours of them starting work on it..And he said he will not give my car until I paid for the job.

How do I ask for the refund now.

2013 Jeep had the Fuel Pump relay recall so we got that fixed at the time. The car has had a constant Check engine light that reads as a problem with the fuel system that the dealership has NEVER fixed but all of a sudden the Jeep began to have a delayed start. There are numerous videos on YouTube showing the same thing, you push the button to start and it just makes this God Awful noise with the little red light shining in the middle of the dash panel.

Then last Sunday, 10/7/18 it would start normally then just choke out. The dealership said the warranty expired two months ago (of course in my life) and both fuel pumps would need to be replaced (absolute morons for putting two pumps in a vehicle to start with in my opinion) and it would be $1600.

I got another shop to do the work but he said you'd be fine just replacing one of the pumps as the other works more as an auxiliary pump. Got it back yesterday, 10/14/18. Filled with gas at lunch today and it wouldn't start. Choked out the first time and then just did the noise with the light over and over again.

These Jeeps are useless and they will never get another penny from me again. This needs to be recalled and replaced at no cost if they want to save what little face they have left.
