The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving with the adaptive cruise control activated at 70 mph, the brakes engaged independently. The contact had to depress the accelerator pedal in order to override the system. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,200.
