WENT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WASN'T ANY SEAT BELTS TO BE FOUND TO REPLACE MINE. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. MY WIFE HAS TO SIT IN THE BACK SEAT BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL TO NOT WEAR A SEAT BELT IN MAINE. I AM VERY IRATE BECAUSE OF THIS. I HAVE OWNED A JEEP PRODUCT FOR OVER 20 YEARS. I WILL THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT BUYING ANOTHER ONE. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, START MAKING SOME THAT WORK.

The passenger seat belt doesn't retract. I consider this a primary safety issue since 98% of the time I am in the passenger seat and my husband is the driver. In the event of a crash the passenger would go through the windshield.

I bought this Jeep used, from a Dealer for 24,000.00 bucks. 6 Months later the passengers side seat belt "sometimes" would not retract. Finally it stopped working. My WIFE can not ride with me, unless she's in the back seat. I took the Jeep to the dealer and was told that I need a new retractor assembly for the seat belt. It will cost me over $400.00 to fix THEIR problem. What an insult.
I would never recommend a GMC product ..... for those who are reading this.. Buy a Ford.. .life time warranty for a safety issue like this. Adding SALT to the wound.... they can't even tell me when a part for my Jeep will be available. This is outrageous. This is my 3rd Jeep and will be my last. Unfortunately my son just purchased a Jeep. I told him to sell it if he can. Cut your losses while you can. I asked the dealer "Who do I sue?" if we get into an accident because JEEP can't fix it..... obviously they threw their hands in the air.
