Grand Cherokee Summit 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

So back to dealer due to lots of wobble in the steering wheel, noise from the suspension, and the whole vehicle shaking on minor bumps. Before taking to dealer I had the tires replaced, 4 way alignment, and wheels balanced in hopes this would address the problem but it didn't. Sat at dealer for two days and then the comedy ensues (Where have the good techs gone?) when they told me I needed new tires and balancing. They did not properly check the vehicle out or look at the past repairs which had to be fixed. It most likely just sat at the dealership and didn't get a "true" look at the problem due to their backlog in vehicles on the lot. Terrible Jeep service & experience. I've been a Jeep owner for 2 decades and believe this is it for me.

Grand Cherokee Overland V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

The suspension in this car has been awful since day 1. The car would grab ridges in the road, vibrate and hop lanes. It wobbled and broke the right rear axle the first few weeks I had the car causing $6500 in damage. Chrysler sent out an Engineer to inspect the car, and of course there was nothing wrong. The dealer rebuilt it but it was never right, and it took at least ten visits to fix the issue. In the meantime, I replaced all four tires with top of the line Michelins, and the car burnt out two rear tires, right worse than left in 20,000 mies, so I replaced them for $600+ The problem reappeared, and the car has now destroyed a third set of tires in 14,000 miles. It seems to be fixed now, but Jeep wont compensate me for the third set of tires. They say it's normal wear and tear on 60,000 mile tires. That's such a load of crap.

I really like this car, and my only other beef is that the gas mileage was 20 only one time--with high octane fuel, going down hill in cruise control.

Just purchased the GC and right off the bat the steering is jumpy or wobbly when I hit bumps particularly on the highway.
