Grand Cherokee Limited 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 43,000 miles

" 4-wheel drive service " icon showed up on my dash, along with a " skidding car " icon , only 43,000 on my 2017 GC Limited 4X4 ...... Driven sparingly ( 6,000 annually ) and dealer serviced regularly. I used 4-wheel drive maybe 2 or 3 X over the course of 7 years and only for 5 or10 minutes just to get out of my driveway after a heavy snow.

So I bring the car into the dealer who says, " we've been having problems with these 4-wheel drive motors going bad " DUH !!! Problems?? Kind of vague!!

I used the 4-wheel drive for 2 or 3 X to get out of my driveway , how does the 4-wheel drive motor go bad in less than 20 minutes ?? AND >>> IF JEEP is " having problems with these motors going bad " why doesn't JEEP fix them at no cost to consumers ?? BUT NOOOOOO , I'll end up with a $ 250 / $300 bill to replace this 4-wheel drive motor before the snow flies here in Pennsylvania.

THANKS JEEP FOR ALLOWING " ME " TO PAY FOR YOUR " PROBLEM " WITH 4-WHEEL DRIVE MOTORS ,VERY MUCH APPRECIATED !!!
