problem #1

Grand Cherokee Limited 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,047 miles

Chrysler Jeep Motors would not give me anything. This vehicle was serviced every 5K miles. The oil was changed. It gave no indication of any problem. No engine light. Going 15 mph the engine exploded. It has 2 large holes where you can see ripped apart pistons twisted and knurled. This vehicle is in great condition otherwise. The blue book is about 20K. Since it has 2X the average number of miles I'm anticipating that this particular engine has a defect. As more of these approach 100K miles I'm hoping to hear about them and then I'll have a suit against Chrysler Jeep for not doing an engine recall. I'm having the repair done now and I'll post pictures later.
