The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving approximately 57 MPH, the vehicle began to lose motive power. The contact stated she depressed the accelerator pedal to the floor and the vehicle kept losing motive power. The contact stated that she was able to pull over and turned the vehicle off. The contact stated that the vehicle turned on only after multiple attempts; however, the vehicle went into "LIMP Mode" and would not accelerate to exceed 5 MPH. The vehicle also stalled several times within a few miles. The contact stated that the Auto START/STOP, and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the vehicle had bad gasoline and had fuel cleaner added to fuel tank. The vehicle had been repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred, and that the vehicle was towed back to the same dealer and was diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
