I want to complain about not being able to get the recall on the passenger side air bag fixed. I was told by adam samuals Chrysler in aransas pass, Texas, that the part is no longer available"????? so, I "did" have the "rear structure reinforcement" done already. And it was at that time that they told me that the part for the air bag recall was unavailable on the 2003 Jeep I have. Absurd! I also had a problem with my driver seat assembly. I cannot make the back of my seat go up or down, which, depending on who drives the Jeep, is now a problem. The cost to replace the seat assembly, with labor, is about $500! absurd! can you help me" I have taken such excellent care of my Jeep since purchasing it in 2005, used, at don johnson motors in brownsville, Texas. I have replace most small parts when needed and have my oil changes done every 3,000 miles. I cannot afford a newer vehicle at this, or in the near future for that matter either. I must keep what I have in excellent working order. Please help me with my problem.

3 of the 4 driver side seat mounting brackets broke where the seat mounts to the floor. This is dangerous and I fear that driver's seat will come completely unattached from floor of vehicle in an accident, sudden stop or very soon! many others seem to have these exact same problems with seat mounting brackets. Jeep, Chrysler nor dealers will help with these problems! interior lights come on by themselves unexpectedly and sometimes will not shut off when attempts are made to switch them off. Light switch control seems sporadic and defective. I fear a short circuit resulting in electrical fire from defective light switch control.

The driver's power seat adjuster bracket has failed. The right rear bracket has broken free from the rest of the seat. The seat can now be manually tilted forward. I am concerned that the seat will become totally dislodged during operation of the vehicle..

Rear brackets holding the seat to the power adjuster has failed. You can tip seat forward and when emergency breaking is needed seat shifts moderately forward. This is a hazard to me as the driver.

Drivers side bracket for power seat broken when I stopped suddenly. Currently seat is not attached. What is the point of seat belts if the seat is broken. Can't find a replacement. All the ones in the junk yard are broken and Chrysler has no stock.

2003 Jeep Liberty limited. Drivers power seat adjuster failure. All 4 brackets holding the seat to the power adjuster has failed. You can lift the drivers seat off the power seat adjuster and the seat tips backwards while the Jeep is in motion. My Jeep is not able to be driven at all because the broken seat is a severe safety problem. I have contacted eastgate Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep, indianapolis, Indiana about this safety problem and said that this not a recall problem. I was also told that the power seat adjuster is on national backorder with a delivery date of unknown. I contacted the Jeep home office about the broken power seat adjuster. I was told that they are aware of this problem and the power seat adjuster problem also includes the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Chrysler 300. They also told me that they will not help me with my problem. I have done some research and I have found this to be a wide spread problem. The power seat adjuster brackets are made out of very thin stamped sheet metal [.015 thick]. all 4 mounting points failed within 2 days of driving. When the last mounting point on the power seat adjuster failed, it nearly caused me to have an accident when the seat tipped backwards. I have currently secured the driver seat with heavy duty tie wraps. I have also taken the Jeep to some welders to try to weld the power seat adjuster brackets mounting points repaired and was told that the metal is too thin to be safely welded. The drivers power seat adjuster on my Jeep has not been repaired as there no parts available.
