Liberty 4WD 4-cyl

Vehicles stalls after extended off period. Vehicle shudders under normal driving conditions. Chrysler has 2 tsbs to fix this- 21-016-05 and 21-009-06 which calls for replacing a trouble prone torque converter. Chrysler has an updated torque converter to fix this problem yet will not take action to fix the vehicle even after numerous attempts since 2006 to get transmission fixed properly. I would like this looked into as myself and numerous other owners of the 2005-2006 Jeep Liberty with the diesel engine experience the same issue. The truck has stalled after starting on several occasions causing concern for action since I have had my pregnant wife witness this. Please look into this.

While driving on the highway, the engine sputtered and died. The repair estimate indicated that a valve spring broke inside the #5 cylinder, caused by a jump in timing. This repair/problem is directly linked to a Jeep/Chrysler technical bulletin.

I bought a 2006 Jeep liberty4X4 3rd day it was towed back due to transmission problems. Now at 30,000 miles I'm having the same issues plus the gear keeps skipping. I brought it back 3 times now and because it doesn't make the cunking noise the few minutes they have it they say there's nothing wrong and the gears are supposed to skip. Hmmm new one on me. They also say there's no reports on the transmission problems hmm plenty here or am I seeing things. It printed them all out so I can go back and show them the complaints. Can't deny what's on black and white now can they?

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Three weeks after purchasing the vehicle, the transmission began locking and caused the vehicle to grind when driving between 30 and 55 mph. The contact stated that the transmission skips at speeds from 0 to 70 mph. The transfer drives failed in the middle of an intersection and the vehicle had to be towed. In April of 2007, new hardware was installed on the vehicle. The vehicle has had four tort converters and a rebuilt transmission installed, yet the failure persists. The engine size was unknown. The current mileage is 25,600 and failure mileage was 999.

Liberty 4WD 4-cyl Diesel

After purchasing my diesel Jeep I noticed a shuddering in the transmission at about 55-65 miles an hour. Considerably worse with you decelerate after acceleration. In a construction hold on traffic my vehicle idled for about 10 minutes. When I was cleared to move forward I put the gear selector in drive. The Jeep stalled. It took me a several attempts to restart the motor. I have done extensive research and have come up with one answer. Air is in the fuel. I have taken it to a Jeep dealer in ozark Alabama and in dothan Alabama. Chrysler tells them that the air in my fuel system is ok. I demand to know what is a safe level of air allowed in the fuel system. No one has measured the amount of air in the fuel system. Please tell me so I can have it measured because I have volumes. I am afraid it will stall out on me again. I have had a few close calls when the Jeep hesitated and choked after a long light and a train crossing,
