All the lights pertaining to the break ABS and stability controls are on. Sometimes when breaking the ABS kicks in and we are not breaking hard and on dry pavement its been going on for about a month now. Took it to a repair shop and was told that there is a recall on it. But nothing comes up on this site

I was driving on the interstate and several warning lights appeared on the dash board. I took the vehicle to the local repair shop and found out that the airbag clockspring was no longer operational. In addition, the anti lock brake feature, cruise control, and airbag are no longer operational. I have been looking for this part for quite some time and it is not available in most cases. The original cost for the clockspring ranged from $80 to $130 depending on the dealer. I have been able to find one clockspring and the dealer wanted $650 for the part plus installation, and he only had one available.

The airbag clockspring has broken and we were told the airbags, anti lock brakes and the stability control will not work without this part. We have not been able to find this part and have been told that it is on back order and anywhere from 35 to 100 are on the waiting list before us. This is for the mopar replacement part. No one else is making this part and we are forced to drive, what we feel is an unsafe car. Nothing particular happened, the warning lights just went on.

One week ago from 11/28/15, I was informed my brake lights were out. Just suddenly no lights, then one by one tail lights started going out. I had a 2008 compass with the same issue, that was never repairable. I was driving at the time, and with no means of other transportation I have to drive with no lights.

I manage an emissions testing business a woman came in with a 2007 Jeep Liberty for a smog check. During the asm test, where I have to drive the car on the dynamometer, it hops off the dyno, going through the precautions I take for a rear-wheel drive vehicle(placing a shock in front of the front wheels), and crashes into the wall, damaging myself and $5,000 worth of equipment. Also, the car kept on accelerating into the wall, even when pushing on the brakes as hard I could so that's when I shifted it into park and engaged the handbrake. Obviously, this car has some major problems with it. At first, I looked online and the year and model had numerous recalls on it, including the rear suspension, and brakes locking up, which I believed had happened in my case. (www.motortrend.com/cars/2007/Jeep/Liberty/recalls/), but after contacting the dealership, they told me that there wasn't any major recalls issued on it, which is why im filing this complaint after smogging hundreds of cars, this has never happened to me until that day.

Same gas problem it overflows tank when filling it. ABS light, esp bas, and traction control lights came on and brakes go all the way to the floor at times. Window regulators keep going out making my vehicle unsafe for me to put my child in. As a single parent I cannot afford to keep paying for costly repairs (mainly the windows) to prevent my child from getting sick in Wisconsin winter. I do not have time in my day to sit and wait on repairs to be done. I hate risking frost bite when my window decides to fall and I'm trying to hold it up! it is now snowing and my drivers side window has fallen into my door yet again and it is 2 am and I really hope garbage bags keep it dry!

The rear brakes and the emergency brake keep failing. We have had to replace rear brakes 6-7 times since we have owned the vehicle. The emergency brake has been replaced once and now needs it again in less than 7 months. We don't even use the emergency brake so why does it keep wearing out" we have also had to replace rotors and are ready to do so again. Is this faulty parts on the Jeep or what" we have never had to replace an emergency brake on any other vehicle we have owned before. Now it seems like this is going to be an every 6 month expense we can't afford.

The ABS control module alerts there is a problem with the ABS system randomly while driving. We were told there is a recall F50, NHTSA campaign id #06V49300, regarding this from our local mechanic. We had the vehicle serviced on 07/30/2012 at a authorized Jeep service center dealership regarding this problem, module and associated wiring were replaced at our cost. This didn't fix the problem. We didn't resolve the issue any further until now, since we were not satisfied with our experience at this service center dealership. Today we contacted another local authorized Jeep service center dealership and the daimler Chrysler recall center regarding the N46 recall [gasoline storage tank assembly/hitch] and the previous F50 recall. Both said the F50 recall is not associated with for our VIN. However, after doing some further investigation on the NHTSA website it seems the F50 recall is assigned to 2007 Jeep Liberty 2wd only. Therefore, it appears that this may be the reason our vehicle is not eligible for the is recall and we must now pay out of pocket again to fix this major safety hazard. We have schedule an appointment with an authorized Jeep service center dealership for them to reprogram the ABS electronic control unit per the remedy assigned to NHTSA campaign id #06V49300 at our own expense. The purpose of this complaint is to notify you that this problem is also on the 2007 Jeep Liberty 4X4wd and if you could please correct/add 4X4wd VIN numbers to this recurring problem so that possibly we may be eligible for reimbursement from Chrysler. Thank you for looking into the matter. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
