gas overflows out when filling with fuel

Fuel overflows & doesn't shut off when full! every time we put fuel into the car, it will not allow the pump to shut off when the tank becomes full-no matter how slow one fills the tank, it creates a fuel burp and pours gasoline out & down the vehicle. All of us, including our young driver, need to be extremely cautious when at a gas station. Very very unsafe could be very dangerous!

Every time I put fuel into my car the fuel check valve does not shut off creating a fuel burp and pouring gasoline down the fenders of my car. Multiple times I have been splashed with gasoline myself very unsafe I have read on multiple forums that many people of the same car have the same exact problem potentially very dangerous

Check engine light remains illuminated, trouble code for evap system leak. I have purchased 9 gas caps, including most from the dealer. Smoke test has been performed, cannot locate problem. Also, interior lights flicker occasionally while driving.

Almost every time I fill-up, there is a splash-back from the fuel filler opening. This apparently is a very common problem with the Liberty model among others. I spoke with the service department at the dealership and was told that I would need to pay for any repairs since there was no recall that would pay for it. I then contacted Chrysler who told me that my specific Liberty is not part of any recall or tsb so they cannot help. I believe this problem poses a hazard if the gas was to ignite. The most recent occurrence was on 26 February 2016.

The filler neck in failing on my Jeep Liberty 2007 and it is a safety issue! when I fill up my tank with gas, the automatic shut off occurs and when I remove the nozzle, gas spits back at me. At first it would happen after the tank was full, now it is happening after only filling up 2 gal (when on empty!).
