I bought my 2008 Jeep Liberty with 58,000 miles on it at a dealership and the problems began. I had a gas tank that shot gas out and had to get put on the news because of a faulty gas tank that was in all Liberty's and wranglers with the closing of the flap sticking. Now I start the car and ride down my street and the car dies and when trying to start it back up I hear valves knocking.
I towed it to the Jeep dealership and they take the valve cover off and the rocker arm is laying there bouncing around in the engine. I had 111,000 miles on it but changed the oil every scheduled time and took great care in the car. The engine showed no wear and after looking online the 3.7 and 4.7 Jeep engines have several defects that Jeep doesn't want to tell us. They won't offer any help and I'm buying a re-manufactured engine that even says that they have fixed the issues that the engine has. It's going to cost 5000 dollars for parts and labor and comes with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.
Why does Chrysler never step up to the plate and help the consumer for there mistakes?
