It's very hard for me to talk about it. I took Jeep Liberty to the dealer 3 times. They squeezed every dime out of me even though they knew exactly what the issue was from the beginning. The Dodge dealer wanted me to the think it was a windshield wiper motor issue. It took 3 visits of $85.00 for them to tell me on my last visit the TIPM needed to be replaced.

They told me that my Basic warranty would not cover it but that i was over 36,000 miles and since the Basic Warranty was up that I had to pay for it. They tried to get me for both. The windshield wiper motor and TIPM. Just for for the parts the cost was $1100 that doesn't include that labor. I use a lot of RainX on really rainy days. If it was raining to hard I couldn't go anywhere, because the TIPM caused my windshield wipers not to work. The indicator light and chime that lets me know its time for a oil change stop working. The airbag light came on and stays on.

Back in a April there was a recall for to reprogram the TIPM. It didn't help. that was there way to band-aid it I guess. The recall was called a N38 Revised Safety Recall N38- Active Head Restraint (Recall CSN-1) They reprogrammed the TIPM but it just made issues worse. 3 weeks after my windshield wipers failed. It was one car failure after another. I decided if I have any more issues with it that I was gonna park it.

It cost me $1500 to fix it. No help from Dodge. I even called the Corporate office. They told me that i had to pay for it myself that there is not recall for a TIPM on a 2012 Jeep Liberty its only for the 2011 Jeep Liberty model. I think it was the most devastating thing that has every happen to me after buying a car. I will never buy a Dodge again. ever. My family and friends seeing what i was going thru vowed to never buy a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep.
