One headlight burned out so it was replaced. A few weeks later the other headlight burned out. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the bulb but the headlight and a brake light do not work. I was told I need a new TIPM. The part would cost $1600! Looking into other options like a mechanic who can get the part for less. Dealer uses MOPAR parts and they are way too expensive and apparently have too many defects. I was told my transmission is needing to be looked at now. Going to try to deal with TIPM first. I have had many problems with my 2007 Jeep Patriot. At only 125,000 miles it shouldn't have so many issues. I am the only owner and I DO take care of my car.

My jeep Patrot has been to the dealer alot. now the TIPM has failed. They replaced it now air bag light comes on. The TIPM cost about $1000 to replace it. I found alot of people on line with problems with the TIPM. This should be covered with a recall. The dealer has to replace the TIPM because it needs to be programed no need of this. It seems every time I take it to the dealer with a problem they fix it and then in a short time it needs to go back in for something. Could the dealer make problems when they go into the system to reprogram things?
