I have had my Jeep for 6 years its always stalling I took it to Jeep Chrysler Dodge, Firestone nobody can figure out whats wrong; it actually turns itself off and nobody knows why. This is dangerous this car needs a recall. I have read that 2012 models do this same thing but this one does it too. Also the sunroof leaks as well and the rainwater goes into the lights. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND A JEEP TO ANYBODY EVER AGAIN, THESE CARS ARE NOT SAFE AND NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.I have paid to get it looked at but they don't know how to fix it, I have been told it probably needs a system update there is nothing wrong but yet my car turns itself off all the time.

Patriot Sport 2.4L

  • CVT transmission
  • 129,000 miles

This problem happens about once or twice a month and has for the last two years. I disconnect battery, let the computer resent, then connect and start car. What happens is the car just is completely dead. Nothing works. And I have had it checked and no problems show up anywhere even on computer check.

This is has caused the engine light to go on continually, and nothing can be found.

This car should have been under a major recall but Chrysler is too arrogant. time for a class action suit.

Engine fires, dead cars for no reason. can't find problems, CVT overheat. It is a lemon and it must be stopped.

Patriot 4x4 2.24

  • CVT transmission
  • 74,444 miles

My Jeep is being towed right now. Not only is this Jeep less than 5 years old, it has less than 75,000 miles on it and has been maintained properly. The electronic throttle control light came on, the car stalled but started right back up. Then it stalled again with the same light, then it stalled again... and again. Then the car would not start at all. Then several hours later started right back up but wouldn't go over approximately 10 MPH. When the tow truck arrived to tow it to the dealer, it started right up and ran (of course). I am waiting to hear what the dealer has to say but I am extremely unhappy about this.
