Patriot Sport 2.4L

  • CVT transmission
  • 59,870 miles

After a suspension inspection due to noises, I was advised by a garage technician the front wheel ball joints were toast and a serious safety issue that needed to be repaired. The wheels themselves could be moved back and forth when on the lift. Apparently this is a reoccurring problem on Jeep Liberties as well as Patriots.

If you hear any noise (clunks) from the front end - especially while turning, please get the vehicle inspected as there maybe a serious issue.

Fortunately the front end alignment was corrected and the wheels did not fall off the vehicle. This is a 2 W D Jeep Patriot Sport.

Again, take this potential problem seriously.
