So, this was the THIRD time I have had issues with the throttle body. This time, I was driving down a street in our neighborhood with my 6 year old & 16 year old in the vehicle. Yet AGAIN, the vehicle suddenly began violently sputtering, loosing power & actually DID stall this time. (Glad I wasn't on the highway like the first 2 times!) 3 dash lights came on again. Pulled over, waited a little while & AGAIN drove straight to mechanic. I was told it was yet again the throttle body.

Not sure where to go from here, who to contact, etc. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. It's absolutely absurd to have to keep paying for the same damned issue! Especially THREE TIMES IN 20 MONTHS! I have posted 2 previous complaints regarding the same issue with the throttle body. Please see my previous posts. This needs recalled as I have done tons of research & found that this is an extremely common problem with Patriots! Extremely dangerous!!! If this last time would have happened while on the highway as the 1st two did, my children & I would have likely been terribly injured!

So, this was the SECOND time I had the throttle body replaced. Same scenario as the first time... driving on busy highway (only this time my 5 year old child was in the car with me!!!). Suddenly, 3 dash lights came on, vehicle began violently sputtering, loosing power & nearly stalled. Almost got rear ended. Pulled over, waited a little while & drove straight to mechanic. Throttle body was replaced, AGAIN. Posting separate incidences regarding same problem. Please see further posts. This needs to be on the recall list! Extremely dangerous!!!

Turned on my car this morning to go to work and the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) light came on after 20 feet of driving. I pulled over shut the car off and restarted it. Noticed that the Malfunction Indication Light (MIL) was on. when I was almost at work (about 10min later) the ETC light came back on and the care deaccelerated and was sluggish. The vehicle struggled to go up a small hill into my parking spot.

Was driving my boyfriend and his 4-year-old son to H&R block for taxes when the car suddenly stopped accelerating. Engine light, ETC light, and check oil light come on all at once. Tried turning off and turning on the car. Car started up normally but problem started back up as soon as brakes were applied. Car was shaking violently, unable to press on brakes, and could push gas pedal to floor but could only go about 20mph.

This happened a few times, then hadn't had the trouble for a few months, then all the sudden it started again on May 9th 2016 then recurred again on May 11, 2016. I took the car to the dealer where we bought the car last evening to have them check it out. So far haven't heard anything from them yet. Hopefully they can remedy the problem. When this problem occurred the power of the engine really fell off and the car surging sluggishly then returned to full power, until I slowed down or stopped. When I took the car to the dealer everything was

Running but the engine warning light was still on.
