My wife drives Jeep daily and stated that on a few occasions, the u-connect screen just blanks out and the power button will not turn it back on. I drove it a few weeks ago and the screen went blank on me as well. As I was pulling into traffic, the Jeep emblem came back on in the screen and suddenly, the transmission disengaged. I was in drive but engine would only rev up and not go anywhere. as soon as the screen became fully loaded back up, the transmission re-engaged and I was able to go again. I nearly got broad sided by a truck. It seemed as if it was booting up and during the process, it effected the drive train. Took it to Chrysler but they could not find anything wrong. Will continue to monitor the situation.

Purchased a new 2016 Jeep Renegade Limited on a Friday night and the very next morning noticed that I couldn't register the UConnect system. There are missing apps from the UConnect system including essential apps that are needed to register the system. Also, the ASSIST button located in the roof of the vechicle does not function at all. Missing apps like UConnect Store, Yelp, ASSIST, Register UConnect, etc. Called UConnect and they state to take it back to the dealer for a firmware update. Done this and this is confirmed to not fix the problem. I've read where others have had thier UConnect unit changed out and that it still does not fix the problem. This leads one to believe that the issue is somewhere between the vehicle and the UConnect unit - maybe some type of software patch needed. But it seems that there is no fix for this but that FIAT/Chrysler/UConnect all are (or should be) aware of this problem. Engineers need to be on top of this now. If this does not get fixed then I am completely done with FIAT/Chrysler/UConnect.

Brand new on lot Bluetooth doesn't work after pairing. Brother in law is the salesman so he speaks w repair dept. they blame it on iPhone and all the upgrades and that upgrade for car isn't made yet! Meanwhile I turned in a 2014 Jeep Compass where uconnect and Bluetooth worked seamlessly. Now sometimes Bluetooth comes on but music is choppy but worse is that the iPod mode now isn't recognized half the time so I'm without music half the time! Every time I start the car which is about 10'x a day I'm not sure what's gonna work or not. Sometimes front USB port doesn't recognize phone then I use console port. Sometimes I try using the phone to remind it. Then it might work. But very often my hands free talking doesn't work either. I've done "forget this device" about 20 times n rei paired it. Sometimes it won't pair No one seems to know how to fix it! Is there an upgrade out there???? Or do I drive myself nuts w this $30,000 car? I do love driving it it's really fun but my stress level is high as I listen to relaxing music I spend about 4 hrs a day in my car! Someone pls help!

purchased jeep on Saturday, attempted to connect and use the UConnect system, noticed that some apps missing, called UConnect and they said I had to connect to service from jeep. Went out there and Assist button does not work and the UConnect is missing critical apps to work properly such as UConnect store, or give the option to even register the vehicle. Took to dealership and they said that UConnect has to contact them as they could not figure out what is wrong. UConnect reps told me that they have to wait to see what their engineers say. This is a shame as I bought NEW as not to have to deal with other people's problem.
