problem #2

Aug 131998

Wrangler SE 2.5L

  • Manual transmission
  • 13,000 miles

turn signal wouldn't turn off automatically when the steering wheel turned and would lock up and not shut off. Dealership didn't have parts in stock. Said it would take a few days. I was moving and didn't have time to wait. A few days at the dealership turns into a week. I took the assembly apart and pulled out the reset lever. Now it moves freely and I just turn it on and off by hand.

Wrangler SE 2.5L

  • Manual transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Left turn signal flickers and goes off. If I move the lever up and down several times, it usually starts working. I think the contacts inside the signal box are worn. This isn't a part the dealership stocks. It costs $50 for a new box. Eventually I will have to replace it. Probably from pick'n pull. FYI - Wranglers and Cherokees have alot of interchangeable parts.
