The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. An alarm technician informed the contact that the air bag knee bolsters were not installed in the vehicle. The contact stated that the owner's manual indicated that they were standard and should come equipped with the knee bolsters. The contact filed two complaints with daimler Chrysler (16465025 and 16695953) in July and September of 2007. On July 5, 2007, a representative from daimler Chrysler stated that the vehicle should have been equipped with the air bag knee bolsters at the time of purchase. The service manager stated that the knee bolsters were not standard for his vehicle and they were unable to provide assistance. The failure mileage was 70 and current mileage was 79.
