The contact owns a 2009 Jeep Wrangler. While parked, the contact noticed that the tire pressure light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The technician stated the rear passenger side tire pressure sensor would have to be replaced. After the repair, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The mechanic stated that the spare tire and the rear driver and passenger tire pressure sensors were fractured. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 24,000.

The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop and the contact was informed that the tire pressure monitoring sensor on the rear driver's side was also detached. The contact was not informed why the failure occurred. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 46,000. The VIN was unavailable.
