Wrangler Unlimited 3.8L V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 77,100 miles

Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not work. I don't know if it is me, user error or if it is something wrong in the Jeep. It seems pretty simple to work when it does work, so, I don't know why it won't turn on when it decides it does not want to cooperate. Any suggestions?

Wrangler Sahara 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 49,710 miles

The cruise control first stopped working in 2014, took it into the dealer there, said it was a loose connection. It stopped again on the way back home and we took it into the dealer here in Vancouver , they replaced the switch. It worked for about a month and stopped again. Took it back after we went on holidays and this time they replaced the collar ring on the steering column. It worked around town but we don't use it much until we go on the hi way. it did not work for our drive south again, booked it back into the dealer agin, as our extended warm was getting close to ending. They fixed it two more times and said the last time it was a plastic ring or tab in the column and gave it back to us last week. Today it stopped again after one and a half weeks of around town driving. It seems no one knows how this unit is engineered, and they just replace parts hoping to cure the problem. I have asked my dealer to get CHRYSLER involved but they say they have no other complaints like this . We have been well looked after and had loaner cars supplied to us, however after 6 times we would really like it fixed. If anyone has heard of this problem, please advise us so I can tell the dealer whats up...thanks.

Wrangler Sport V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 23,000 miles

On long trips when I use the cruise control extensively, it fails after a long while. Then it won't work again for the rest of the day. Even after shut down and restart. This is a manual shift with Cruise. 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport soft top. I have not taken it in to a dealer because this usually only happens on long trips. This is a real problem for me of my health. I can drive the stick with no problems short term and only got the Manual with Cruise because I planned to rely on the cruise for long trips
