Wrangler Unlimited Sport 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 113,000 miles

Transmission had transmission lines blew off while driving over 4 months ago, so had them replaced, the transmission fluid replaced, and then the transmission locked up while driving. Have to have it rebuilt by a guy who's giving me a break on the price.

engine light showing error in gear

I was doing the regular service for my jeep wrangler 2011, and this engine light was on when i get back to receive my car. First they told me it's because of the battery voltage so i changed the battery but the light stayed on. Then i went back to the dealer and they turn it off for me by scanner, then when i left, in 2 days it was on again. I went back to the dealer and they told me it's showing an error related to the transmission, and they can only know what is the problem when they dis-assemble the gear which will cost 1240 USD other than the cost of parts . So i kept it as it is to see if there is any other solutions before doing this because i am afraid to have this done and than the problem will not be in transmission and a new problem will appear again. I am not sure if there is an recall regarding this issue, but if someone have any suggestion let me know and it will be much appreciated.
