Wrangler Sport 3.6L

  • Manual transmission
  • 36,000 miles

transmission jumps into neutral from 3rd gear

I was driving the Wrangler down a gravel road, hit a couple of bumps and the transmission jumped from third into neutral. I took the Jeep to my dealer and they informed me there was a service bulletin on this problem. The dealership replaced the lever and boot at no charge. Just a couple more hours of my time. I finally figured out what the letters JK mean when describing the newer Wranglers...it's short for "joke", such as "The jokes on you for buying one of these vehicles." I just wish all of the the issues I've had with this vehicle started at under 12000 miles, then I could have gone under my State's 'lemon laws'.
