Wrangler Saraha V6

My Jeep Wrangler is only 3 years old. My 9 year old, 50 pound grandson is the only one that rides in the back seat, maybe once a week. In less than a month's time the left back seat seatbelt shoulder strap disconnected in the back. It pulled right out as he was trying to strap himself in. A week later, the right side seatbelt was discovered to have a tear almost halfway across. I won't let him sit there as I know it would not protect him if I were in an accident. So right now I have only the middle seat in the back seat that is useable. I have a 5 passenger 4 door jeep, but can only hold 3 people safely. I called a dealership to have them replace the seat belts. The 2 seat belts are 225. EACH. That does NOT include labor!! Why would a 3 year old Jeep have 2 seat belts are not safe???
