Like allot of people on your site I have had this on going problem since I bought the car. My passenger side air bag will not turn on when there is a passenger in the seat.Like the other people on your site the service people can't find a computer error, so they will not fix anything because nothing is wrong. I took it in to them with my wife in the seat with the air bag off and the word "weird" was all I got. They reset the computer and sent me on my way. Didn't work. I have Kia Canada involved now and they tested the car and the computer says there is nothing wrong, so, no fix.
Like other people on your site I was told my wife was too skinny, too fat, not sitting properly. Sound to me Kia has an issue here. I was surprised to see my story across every model and year.
The last time I spoke to the service manager at kia west Edmonton, he was told this was unacceptable, Kia will start changing parts until they find a solution. If my wife can't sit in her seat properly kia will have to change the system in their car to accommodate her. No reply as of yet, that was 3 days ago, so today I dropped off a video of the problem and a letter.
I am going to record on here now every time it happens and I think I will even post the video on youtube.
