I BOUGHT THIS 2005 KIA OPTIMA CAR FROM MY BROTHER A YEAR AGO AND I THOUGHT THIS WAS COOL CAR. BUT 6 MONTH LATER I HAD TO REPLACE THE GAS TANK THAT WAS LEAKING GAS ON TH BACK PASSAGE SIDE OF THE CAR. YOU CAN ONLY FILL THE TANK 3/4 OF A TANK.

NOW I HAVE ANOTHER NEW PROBLEM THE DRIVER DOOR THAT WILL NOT OPEN IF YOU PULL ON THE HANDLE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE DOOR. SO NOW I HAVE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM ON HOW TO GET THE PANEL OFF IF THE DOOR CAN T BE OPEN TO GET THE SCREW OFF. WHICH IS LOCATED BETWEEN THE DOOR AND FRAME. CAN T GET A TOOL IN THAT AREA. I M JUST WAITING FOR ANOTHER PROBLEM TO ARISE. I CAN T BELIEVE THERE NO PETITION OR LAW SUITE ABOUT THESE PROBLEM THAT KIA HAS.

Update from Jul 19, 2016: I found out how to fix my driver door latch. There is a yellow clip attach to a rod that is attach to the back of the door handle. That was the problem of the door you not able to unlock the door. You need to replace it plus any other clip that has wear and tear on it. Also you can not buy the clip which cost $2.50. You would have to buy the door handle that come with the clip which cost $65.00 on top of what you have to pay which is $35.to $45. ..
