At least one of the lifters in the front bank is seriously failed. The knocking sound at idle is so loud, the source can be pinpointed quite easily. This Sedona has been meticulously maintained with very high quality fully synthetic oil changed every 5000 miles or less. Also, it has had two timing belts at the specified intervals with new water pumps, pully/rollers and tensioners. The majority of it's life has been city driving, but still there should be no reason for a lifter failure of this magnitude. Since I don't like this van very much, I likely won't fix the issue, but to fix it, I would swap heads with re-mans and new head gaskets, new timing components (again) and crank and cam seals.
