In march2016 brakes replace with new pads/rotor due to screech sound. Today when brake pressed steering wheel vibrates. ABS/ESC off light came on the other day. Front wheels still vibrate on the highway. Transmission sometimes jerks and stalls the car. A/C not work, but heater always working.

My ESC light and ABS light came on as I was pulling out of the movie theater and my vehicle immediately turned off so I restarted it and pulled out onto the highway where it turned off again and wouldn't restart for 15-20 minutes once I got it restarted my engine started making a weird sound and I could not accelerate it kept jerking like I was running out of gas when I had a full tank luckily I made it home with my 3 kids before it shut off again. Not safe at all.

I had issues putting in park and then getting out of park. Disconnected battery cable to turn off vehicle. Battery seemed dead but had battery checked out it's fully good. Now my ABS, battery, brake, ESC lights all came on and vehicle has no power. Seems like it could be brake-tramission shift interlock problems?

The contact owns a 2006 Kia Sedona. While driving approximately 20 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle continued to accelerate. The contact placed an abnormal amount of pressure on the brake pedal, but the vehicle accelerated forward before coming to an abrupt stop. The failure recurred and the vehicle began to smoke with an abnormal odor from the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was inoperable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. Updated 02/23/16

Brake lights failed to illuminate at stop. Diagnosed by dealer as brake light switch malfunction. Same as earlier recall, which this vehicle was seen for. Because of failure of replacement part, dealer claims no responsibility. Because this is an unusual malfunction of known faulty system, I suspect other defects contributing to brake switch failure.

Front braking system problem - pads and rotor wear out quickly. Potential safety issue as recall warranted. Internet search reveals this is problem with same make and model vehicle. Here is what I can confirm but also have email into dealer related to said vehicle. 2/27/07 - brakes grinding (15957) nothing done (dealer) 6/18/07 - brakes pulsating (21,764) (rotors turned) (dealer) 9/7/07 - brakes squeaking (25365) nothing done (dealer) 7/24/08 - mileage 38,853 - new pads and rotors (dealer) 4/21/09 - brakes checked - grinding (48,935) nothing done (dealer) 5/21/09 - brakes squeaking (50,032) - pad kit installed (dealer) 10/20/09 - mileage 56,015 - new front pads and rotors resurfaced (dealer) 17162 miles since last change 2/4/10 - mileage around 62,000 - rear pads and rotors (alignment specialist Inc) 12/8/10 - mileage 68,423 - full front pads and rotors (country club tire) 12408 miles since last change 1/4/11 - mileage 69082 - replaced pad (country club tire) 10/5/13 - mileage 85401 - front pads (country club tire) 16319 miles since last change brakes on these Kia Sedonas do not last (see above) - vehicle is drove mostly on highway as vacation vehicle. Driver is not a brake rider (one foot on brake at all times). This is a safety issue as well as an economic issue.

The turn signals work intermittently and probably only work 15% of the time, however beginning about 2 years ago the bulbs have never both worked at the same time (meaning when you turn the switch to the left the left signal will turn on but when you then turn the switch to the right it does not work). The bulbs have been changed several times yet this never fixes the problem. The turn signal bulbs have actually only been burned out one time, proving there is some form of a short. All of the other lamps, whether it be head lamps (low or high beam), fog lights,  tail lights, running lights, reverse light or tag lights, keep burning out bulbs. Every 6 weeks I'm having to replace a bulb. This is so dangerous not to mention expensive! with as many complaints as there has been posted due to this very same issue, I do not understand why Kia has not found/created a solution for these issues. This really makes me not want to purchase another Kia vehicle. Also, I've had intermittent problems with one of the electric sliding side doors. One door will not close on it's own. If you pull gently to get it started closing, it will then close the rest of the way by itself. There's nothing internally blocking the release pin from disengaging. This problem just started about 2 months ago.
