We bought the van used in March of 2021, while purchasing it I noticed standing water inside the passenger side taillight housing. I eventually removed it and dumped the water and dried it out thoroughly. I thought it was a fluke, but it soon had moisture in it again. Upon further inspection there are numerous small hairline cracks in the backside of the light housing. This is where the water is coming in. The water leads to repeated corrosion of the brake light bulb socket which leads to the brake light not functioning.

I ended up drilling a small hole in the bottom corner of the house to allow the water to drain out once it inevitability enters. I chose this over spending money on a new light housing that will likely suffer the same problems after a few years.
