My wife was trying to accelerate to get on the Interstate, the car had no power when she pushed on the gas pedal. Than when it did accelerate it blew a BIG white cloud of smoke out the tailpipe. Called local dealer all they said is they can hook up the computer for $50 & see if something comes up and/or they can do a carbon cleaning on the valves for $159.99

I also have a 2012 Kia Soul (+, I think, they are too confusing with the symbols) I had problems in March of 2015 with it doing the same hesitating and blowing white smoke. Had around 45,000 miles on it. The dealership had my car for 2 weeks, and had the nerve to tell me that it was caused by being 1/2 qt low on oil. BS!!! It continued, but not so bad......
Well, it is January 2016, car leaking puddles of oil now, cutting out, AND a trail of white smoke behind me. Been back at the dealership for two days, NOW they say my motor needs to be replaced, and If I can't come up with receipts PROVING I ever changed the oil, they won't cover the motor. 100,000 mile warranty???? BEWARE
