This car keeps hesitating when accelerating say after a stop at a stop light or stop sign, and sometimes after a brief slowdown in traffic, it takes forever for it to pickup to speed. I have missed getting rear-ended as well as I have missed rear-ending others. Because of the difficulties of knowing when the acceleration or gear shifting is going to be completed, its also hard to know when the car will come to a complete stop.

I took it to a jiffy lube for diagnostics and they couldn't find any codes so recommended a fluid flush for the transmission. That did not solve the problem. Now I called a Kia dealership around me and they have scheduled me for an appointment on Monday 03/12/2018 for a full diagnostics @ $120.00. Its sad that I already have a feeling I am wasting that $120.00 cos I know for a fact they won't find any codes but will swallow my $120.00 and then make some dumbass recommendations.

Soul

When I first purchased the car new, my husband questioned the shift sequence. However I liked the car anyway. His complaint is that the car will not shift into high gear before 43 mph. His contention is that if you are driving under that speed then you are using more fuel as the engine rpm's are too high. He can shift into high by using the manual up-shift but if you stop and forget to put it back into D, the car will not shift. I don't know if this is a problem with anyone else, but it sure is with my husband.
