problem #2

Sportage

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

I went to the store with family, the car drove like good like always, so we coming out the store with our packages and got in the truck to start, it didn't start, I had it towed to the dealership and they said that I needed a new engine, I guess we need to take the dealership to court , or who built these vehicles. I would be willing to take to court, because when you sell in the US, you should abide by the law of recalls and lemon vehicles, and with all the problems and complaints, I will not stop here.

stalling upon startup into traffic

Kia does not admit this is a problem, nor do they admit having a fix or that it is very dangerous. They just throw up their hands because they cannot replicate the problem. Yes, this happens only maybe once per driving trip

and then not on each driving trip - totally unable to link any car behavior and stalling action except stalling generally takes place after a cold or semi-cold start. When taking off from this start, car initially goes forward, then stalls and will not move forward. Only corrective action seems to be taking foot off throttle completely and then pushing again to get moving. Engine does not die - only hesitates big time. This is totally dangerous when pulling out into traffic and seems to be getting more frequent over time. Help!
