I took my car to have the dash replaced because of stickyness and dealer recall. After the repair was made, I noticed there was a tear on the passenger side seat. I should have notified the dealer before I took the vehicle off-site but called as soon as I got home. They denied doing the damage. I take extra care when getting into my car because the leather on these seats have been worn down especially on the driver side. I can see how if a technician has a tool in their back pocket happens to sit on the seat would easily puncture the leather.
I am complaining about the cheap leather - even with conditioning, it is not able to stay intact with normal wear. I purchased a leather seat cover to put over the damage. The leather on the seat cover is durable and maybe Lexus should consider it for "luxury" vehicles. I should have just stuck with a Camry.
