My 2007 Rx 350 out of nowhere already 2 years the airbag light for driver is on, I took to the dealer in glendale ( Lexus of glendale) they told me that for diagnosing I have to pay $250 dollars just to tell me what is the problem, and I did 2 years ago, they told me that there is a problem with wiring and needs to be replaced all wiring witch will coat me around $1500 to $1800 dollars, witch I can't pay, and I don't feel safe to drive like that, the coast is that high because they explain to me they need to replace whole wiring that goes somewhere from back to the hood, because it's impossible for them to find witch wire is the problem. In that car I take my family, kid to school, and I feel unsafe to drive, its a safety issue and I think the manufacturer had to be responsible.

We are the original owner of a 2007 Lexus Rx 350. The dashboard has been cracking and crumbling apart, posing a significant safety concern. For example, the airbag unit is built into the dashboard. Dashboard degradation also affects visibility as it reflects in the windshield and crumbling pieces fall off during driving. Upon further research, a 2014 class action lawsuit prompted a warranty enhancement in 2015-2017 to cover the dashboards of several Lexus model vehicles, including our 2007 Rx 350. Unfortunately, we never received any notification of this warranty program, so we were unaware of it until now, after it has expired. We have contacted our local dealership, stevens creek Lexus in san jose, California, as well as Toyota and Lexus corporate, without resolution. As we never received notice of the warranty replacement program, we would appreciate a goodwill coverage for replacing our dashboard.

Driver's side air bag light stays on, flashes, or is off intermittently. I have taken it to a mechanic and been told that the connector was loose and they zip-tied the wiring in place. They said if that doesn't work that new support assembly for the airbag will need to be installed. That would be over $2,000, which seems like a pretty egregious amount to fix a loose wire for a critical safety item.

1.transmission unexpectedly completely shut down while driving on the freeway. Car jumped forward and completely stopped on the fast lane. I had to call for towing. Transmission was replaced at mechanic shop. Happen in November 2016 2. oil shooting from the broken hose close to the engine while driving on the freeway. Stopped car and call for towing. Replacement of hose completed at mechanic shop. Happen in 2014. Reimbursed by manufacturer. 3. random flashing of air bag lights (driver) without any reason. Looks like some sensor/electrical malfunction. Happening now.

The car start flashing driver air bag lights, I took mechanik it's giving some codes. When we contact the dealer to see what's going on they sayt that manufacture is extendet warranty to 72 monts or 72000 miles, because of defective parts, but my car star having problem when I have 87000 miles. I don't understand if the part defective why not put a recall? its not safe to drive when I know the air bag is not functioning correctly, please follow on this complain

Repeated airbag defect in Lexus 2007 rx 400H : 2007 Lexus 400H (hybrid) has been having air bag safety problems. The car was purchased Dec 16, 2006 from magnussen Lexus in fremont, ca. It currently has about 7000 miles. The problem started soon after the purchase, in April 2007 the air bag light came on and stayed on. We took the car to the dealer to get it taken care of. The 1st visit to the car dealer (magnussen Lexus of fremont, ca) involved them adjusting the pin connectors to fix what they thought was the right side squib malfunction. The problem reappeared on 20th April 2007. The dealer indicated that they thought the wiring was loose and tightened the wiring connector under the driver seat. The problem reappeared on May 02, 2007. The service technician found codes B0016 and B0017, found the left and right wiring harness bad, had it inspected by a Lexus factory field engineer. The technician replaced left and right floor harness. The car stayed at the dealer for 3 weeks (picked up on May 22nd) where in the problem was identified in the right and left wiring harness. The entire wiring was changed. The problem reappeared again in a few days (May 25th, 2007) and the car has now been with the dealer since then, still attempting to find a comprehensive fix. Lexus has begun discussions with us regarding repurchase of this vehicle, and officially communicated that via a letter dated June 25, 2007. The status of the request is still unknown despite repeated calls to Lexus corporate to find out the nature and extent of the problem and the intended resolution.
