On March 17, 2020 when buckling my driver side seat belt, the female end that is suppose to be bolted into place was only attached by wires. I looked under the seat and found washer and nut on the floor. My son helped me reattach the parts together. On Monday, I made appointment with the wilde Lexus of sarasota. They reinstalled the driver side seat belt buckle and retorqued it. I was told by the costumer service representative at wilde Lexus that it may have worked it's way lose or it was installed improperly at factory. Either way, I feel this is a serious safety hazard. I would like to know that this car and other Lexus RX350 would not have seat belts failing.

The pre-collision system was unexpectedly activated for no apparent reason. Travelling on the interstate in light traffic on a clear, sunny afternoon, the car brakes suddenly activated, seat belts clinched with no warning sound. This has happened twice in the last year (coincidentally, it occurred at the same area on the interstate). The car was taken, both times, after the incident for inspection at the dealer. The service department was not able to replicate the issue or find any problems. For me, this is a serious safety concern. Sudden unexpected severe braking could result in a major rear-end collision.
