My 2008 Mazda stopped on me December 11, 2018, after which ny truck started back up, however, it would not switch out of park. I had my vehicle towed to Auffenbergh Mazda Dealership in Ofallon Il. I was given run around with dealership as well as Extended Warranty Company, and then informed that I needed a new engine and turbo, which would cost $5995 approximately.

Extended Warranty Touch Point Secure Plans informed me that they would not cover entire cost of repair and I'd have to pay difference. According to paperwork I received, in the event they would cover repair, provide rental car and all I'd have to pay would be $100 deductible.

Well it's now March, I'm still without my truck. Prior to stopping I'd only had my truck a year. I'm upset and confused as I am still paying on a vehicle that's not running.

This car is a total lemon. You only have to read the feedback on this piece of junk to see it had turbo issues. I took my Mazda with a 7 year extended Warranty, purchased brand new, to their repair centre for every service. The following year my turbo completely died. When I tried to call Mazda with the issue, they co-incidentally could not fit my car in for repair for 2 weeks and of course, the car could not be driven. I had my husband's mechanic take a look and he quoted AU 5,700 to replace the turbo with a re-conditioned turbo. He indicated this had been a progressive issue that should have been picked up a number of years ago. The oil was black and didn't look lilke it had been changed in years - I saw this myself. Clearly another story of Mazda shortchanging and trying to hoodwink their customers. When I called the customer service centre in Australia, I left a message for the case manager to return my call. After more than 15 calls over the next few months, I finally got in touch with.... Adrian. The poorest excuse for a manager I might add. He was too lazy to pick up the phone to the return the call, was rude, defensive and completely contradictory. Clearly he just didn't know his stuff. He indicated Mazda's don't have a turbo problem when I quizzed him, but then in the next breath, indicated the oil gets clogged in the turbo leading to failure which happens with the CX7. But.....Adrian......there's no problem with the turbo, Adrian!!!!!!! You have a very short memory Adrian!!! Clearly Mazda have taken no accountability for this absolutely appalling defect and had they been a reputable and ethical organization, perhaps they may have done the right thing by customers and recalled the piece of crap. Incidentally Mazda, I would strongly suggest that you consider employing people that have that white and grey stuff between their ears.

Our turbo charger went out, not even a year after we bought it used. It was in 6 months of driving it off of the lot. Extended warranty paid to fix it, but it was like pulling teeth for the covered parts, then we had to pay for the bolts??????!!!! thought bolts were needed for all parts to be replaced.

Had to fight Mazda USA to replace the turbocharger. The didn't even believe their own dealership that the turbo was the problem. Dealer had to send pictures of tailpipe smoke before they covered the problem under warranty.
