Soft brake pedal. ABS brakes not functioning. Stability control disabled. Braking proportioning not functioning. All related to ABS module issue that Mazda is aware of but won?T recall. Severely affects the safe operation of the vehicle as the stopping power and stability are decreased when ABS unit fault occurs. Prohibitively expensive to replace and is not covered by warranty, even on low-mileage cars. Service bulletin has existed for years and needs to be elevated to recall.

ABS and dsc has been disabled due to a faulty ABS module and the dealer does not consider this a safety issue. The repair cost is ridiculously high and this should be recalled per the amount of internet traffic alone regarding this issue. This is not a nice to have feature this is a must have as it could safe a life. I have seen reports when the whole system fails. I was told I could drive without it even thou total break failure could occur.

The transmission module (tcm) is damaged quickly because it melts the silicone that protects it, since the heat emitted by the engine is very direct, which causes the tcm to be damaged and the transmission does not work. This problem is very common in the Mazda3-2010 therefore it is a manufacturing defect

ABS light and traction control lights are on. It is on since March.2018 the first time I have notice this problem, I was going to work and ABS light came on and then disapeared and after a few days like that just stayed on. I took it to the Mazda dealership in jacksonville fl, and they found three different faulty codes ; one for the ABS control motor C0020 one for the dcs switch C110964-64-60 and one for the ABS control module U0415 92-48. They gave me an estimate of $1100 including labor. I think this is ridiculously high! I have purchased my car in 2016 January for $7900! why dont they cover the faulty ABS pump or parts if there was a known issue by Mazda in this models according to this website : www.tirebusiness.com/article/20161220/servicezone/161229997/new-hydraulic-unit-solves-Mazda-3-ABS-trrouble-codes

Mazda 3 engine light on for 2 years. I have taken car to multiple mechanics and in 1-2 days light is back on. Recently car seems to hic cup on shifting and on braking the back end of car seems to run into the front end. In last 2 wks an at light came on and car almost wouldn't shift in gear. I have a verizon hom and got S message indicating 'solenoid stuck on E'. when I called Firestone they stated those Mazda 3 have that problem and that I need to take car to Mazda. In trying to understand my issue I googled problem that showed there was a electrical recall that may cause engine to stop or problems shifting.

Brake pedal travel went soft(had to pump)brake pedal for temporary(normal) pedal travel(feel). Mazda garage stated hydraulic ABS unit bad. Also no waning lights lit on dashboard. Mechanic stated yaw code was thrown in code reader. Stated old code. I replaced the ABS hydraulic unit at the Mazda dealership. Now there is a dynamic stability control lit on the dashboard. The ABS was working the night before (snow on the ground) and no steady light lit. Just flash when it activated. ABS hydraulic unit replaced 12-27-2017

The ABS & dsc (dynamic stability control) instrument panel warning lights came on. I have had the car tested at a repair shop and two separate computer readouts show codes C0020, U0140 & U0140 (related to the ABS hydraulic unit). The shop provided service bulletin no. 04-002/13, last issued: 7/17/2013 related to this problem. I understand I may not have functional ABS or dsc but the brakes, while not having ABS, still function. I was advised this may be a very expensive repair but since it is a safety related issue, Mazda may fix the problem at no charge. I would argue that not having ABS or dsc is most certainly a safety issue and I should have received a recall notice. Please advise.

I was driving to work. Road was wet. Vehicle gets in front of me and I had to turn quick to avoid hitting this vehicle. I lost control, luckily no one was injured. I know dsc is not supposed to replace a safe driver, but in an emergency situation like this it should of at least helped me out. It turned completely off. The dsc light came on permanently as well as the ABS light and the brake light. After turning the vehicle off then back on the lights came off. When I took the car to the Mazda dealer and was completely ignored by the service department as to the system having any problem at all. So I decide to go to an empty parking lot and tried to repeat the same emergency situation I was and indeed the system failed again. I went back to the Mazda dealer and showed them, and apparently the only solution to them is replace the dsc module. This would of been suficient for me if the system wasn't $700, and since my vehicle has 50000 miles on it and I no longer have their initial warranty effective, then it's a must strive situation. The only reason I'm complaining is because of the poor quality of this system, the hazardous situation it could compromise Mazda drivers and others around them, and the fact that Mazda is ignoring this despite thousands of customers complaining.
