The contact owns a 2010 Mazda, Mazda3. While driving approximately 30 mph with a passenger in the front seat, the contact stated that the air bag light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that the vehicle was performing to its specifications. The dealer stated that the failure was related to the passenger's weight as they weighed 105 pounds. The failure continued and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. A representative of the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was performing properly. The failure was intermittent and had been ongoing since 2010. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 3,000 and the current mileage was 11,400. Updated 03/29/11
